What a 2018 term year! Our chapter has worked extremely hard to accomplish all of our goals and it looks like our hard work has paid off, both on campus and nationally! Bear with us, as this post is long. It could not be avoided, as we have achieved so much!
We are pleased to announce that Fraternity and Sorority Life at Illinois Wesleyan University has given our individual members the following awards:
-Sorority Member of the Year, Kaitlin Feely
-Outstanding Scholar Award, Kinsey Van De Velde
We have also been awarded silver, and gold levels for the following categories:
-Silver Level: Chapter Advisory Support, Academic Development, Sisterhood and Facilities Management
-Gold Level: Standards and Accountability, Membership Recruitment and Retention, Values Education, Leadership Development, Community Service,Philanthropy, Alumni/NHQ’s Relations, and Administrative Policy Compliance
At the Sigma Kappa 88th National Convention we were awarded the following awards from Sigma Kappa Nationals:
-The Alice Hersey Wick Award ~Honorable Mention. This award recognizes chapters for their Sigma Kappa ritual education and living the Sigma Kappa ritual in practice.
-Two Stars of Excellence. This award is given to chapters that exceed in meeting all of the Sigma Kappa standards on the Standards of Excellence scale.
Our whole chapter is proud of everything we have accomplished, and we look forward to what the future brings. We would like to especially thank all of our advisors for their help, support, and dedication to our sorority. We would not be the chapter we are today without them!
